In the process of articulating The Dwellbeing Initiative, the project eventually took up the form of both a digital presence and a tangible connected set of objects, in addition to the creation of an online Instagram community to drive engagement.
The tangible component of this initiative comprises the Dwellbeing Starter Kit, a set of speculative phygital objects intended to serve as representations of the aspects of spatial belonging identified during the research process.
These objects aim to function as tools aimed at keeping the dweller cognizant of the different aspects - namely Spatiality, Identity, Community, Multiplicity, and Agency - within the confines of their spaces so as to better understand and consequently mould the spaces towards fostering a greater sense of spatial belonging for the dweller.

But what were these principles based on? And how did we end up on the ideation and eventual inception of The Dwellbeing Initiative?
The entire research process, through its assimilation, speculation and articulation phases, is detailed out in the project report↗.
Additionally, a copy of the PDF can also be requested by mail.
With the creation of The Dwellbeing Initiative, we hoped to utilize multiple mediums of interaction to be able to aid in the informing and the fostering of spatial belonging amongst people.
Through its multimodal configuration, the project aimed to cater to digital, tangible, and spatial formats.

The Dwellbeing Starter Kit, in its essence, is a collection of representative phygital objects. These objects would cater to the tangible interactive necessity of spaces, presenting themselves as physical objects that are actually present in the space, and function to passively inform and influence the dweller towards adopting better spatial practices for their wellbeing.

It wouldn't be sufficient to just have the objects by themselves though. The dweller would have to have a place to view and organise what is and what can be comfortable to them. The Kit would thus have a partner digital representation, through the usage of an app. This would help customise the objects further, as per spatial conditions and personal preferences of the dweller.

Five objects for five aspects.
These are named, corresponding to their respective platonic solid forms, namely - tet, cub, octa, ico, dodeca. An app was also imagined that would connect to these apps, to extend its interactive capabilities.
As is with the rest of the initiative, all of this is intended to be under a open source framework, encouraging people to be able to build similar objects for their own spaces per their own character and wants.
