Hands Off is a non-destructive foot pedal attachment that fixes directly onto the doors without screws, and latches on to existing handles to enable foot based, handsfree operation, meant for public spaces and businesses that cannot afford to invest in replacing the entire door or building a new system.
This project was a result of trying to solve an issue which has always been a hygiene consideration, further accentuated by the ongoing pandemic trying to prevent transmissions however necessary, and how design can intervene in public situations to provide a solution.
